- while we did record a show (a very funny one I might add), due to unexpected events, the sound quality sucked donkey bum - I tried fixing it in post but to no avail.

- but, we will be back next week with good sound and some of the same jokes we used this week (try and guess which ones).

Just to mention a few things we talked about:

- Pushing Daisies: great show and so happy it got the ratings
- Dexter: season premier was really, really good
- Friday Night Lights: great show, Kyle Chandler and his wife are great on the show - their performances are so real and genuine. I was afraid they were going to far with the whole murder thing (in an attempt to get some ratings), but it was done well and doesn't feel gratuitous or shark jumping at all.
- My Name Is Earl: very funny and I love Catalina.
- Dimitri Martin getting his own show in 2008: good stuff
- Fox and JJ Abrams going to do a show together
- Takei gets asteroid named after him

This week we are talking television commercials: there are a lot of bad commercials out there and with PVRs and recorded shows we are all fast forwarding through a lot of them, but there have been and still are some that stand out as good and ones that we might actually want to watch - from classics like the Bird/Jordan McDonalds ad to the 1984 Mac computer ad directed by Ridley Scott (maybe the most famous commercial of all time) - to new ones like the series of commercials for sonic with the two guys in the car or the caveman geico ad or the hysterical Payton Manning ones for Mastercard, to name but a few.
